On this auspicious new moon day, Buddha Shakyamuni Day, we are delighted to announce that the Second Annual Recitation of the Words of the Buddha in many languages will begin on Lhabab Düchen, November 1st. Monastics and laypeople from all traditions of Buddhism will gather in Lumbini, birthplace of our Teacher, at the One Thousand Golden Buddha temple, in order to recite all of the precious teachings that the Buddha Shakyamuni gave.

We come together in the spirit of oneness as we recite the words of our Teacher simultaneously in many different languages—Pali, Sanskrit, Chinese, Tibetan, Vietnamese, English, and others. We invite all of you to join us in person for this joyful event, where we can together gather oceans of merit to dedicate to the happiness of all beings, to world peace, and to the continued presence of the Buddhadharma in the world.

If you cannot join us in person, this precious event will also be live-streamed, so you can join us from wherever you are in the world.

The 46th Annual Fall seminar will also take place at this time, Part 1 from November 1-7, in conjunction with the Recitation, featuring teachings by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and other teachers; and a special Part 2 from November 8 -10 with teachings by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche.

Registration will begin on October 1st. There is plenty of space for everyone! Please make your own travel arrangements to and accommodations in Lumbini.
