One month Ngondro retreat at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery
We’re pleased to share with all of you the wonderful news that more than 450 people participated in this year’s month-long Ngöndro (Preliminaries) Practice Retreat at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, which ended today. In the early morning, participants from all over Kathmandu, and beyond, arrived in the shrine room to begin the four meditation sessions guided by senior monks. Participants include local residents as well as visitors from as far away as Russia, Europe, the USA, South America, China and Vietnam.
The first session starts at 6am while the final session concludes at 6pm. The monastery provides all practitioners with a hearty breakfast, hot lunch, and refreshments throughout each day. It is truly inspiring to see such a large gathering devotedly practicing the preliminaries one-pointedly. This year the daily teachings have also been translated from Tibetan into Nepalese, English, and Vietnamese. We hope you’ll rejoice in this excellent news as whole-heartedly as we do!
