Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and Tulku Urgyen Yangsi Rinpoche gave the exam results to our monks at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery. About 200 young monks, taught by 5 Lopons, are studying Tibetan, Nepali and English language as well as basic Buddhist philosophy and rituals. Among our 200 senior monks about 70 are studying in the monastic university ‘shedra’. They have 5 levels of classes, taught by 5 Khenpos and 4 Lopons, including philosophy, debate, logic, history and the Buddha’s Vinaya. The best three students in each class received personal awards from the Rinpoches, to the sounds of a hearty applause from the monastic audience.
