Seminar at Gomde Mexico

Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche recently spent five delightful days teaching at Gomde Mexico. During these teachings, a longtime Mexican student of Rinpoche offered Gomde Mexico a precious gift—an antique thangka of Buddha Amitabha, approximately 300 years old—as a sacred support for the bestowal of an Amitabha empowerment.
On the auspicious 10th day of the lunar calendar, during the Trinley Nyingpo tsok, Rinpoche consecrated the land and blessed the sites where the pillars of Gomde Mexico’s future temple, Thubten Shenpen Ling, will stand.
Many new dharma brothers and sisters took refuge vows with Rinpoche and his profound teachings deeply touched our hearts. Rinpoche expressed that once the temple is completed, he will return to bestow the empowerments and transmissions for a one-month ngondro retreat that will include at least 100 participants. Later we will also hold one-month and three-month retreats on the Three Roots practices, and eventually three-year retreats. After the ngondro retreat, Rinpoche promised to return to bestow phowa in the new temple.
