On Thursday, August 31, from 7:30 a.m. onwards, the assembled monks of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling will chant the entire collection of profound songs of realization found in the renowned classic text, the Kagyü Gurtso (bka’ brgyud mgur mtsho.) This cherished collection of inspiring Tibetan songs, or dohas, which describe one’s endeavor in practice to fully recognize and actualize one’s own enlightened buddha nature, is also published in English as “The Rain of Wisdom.”
The full-day puja is led by one of the high lamas who will read the narrative. Then the monks chime in, singing the actual songs with touching melodies. The whole Kagyü Gurtso is embedded in a Milarepa tsok sadhana.
Everyone is welcome to join!
