ShenpenNepal provides help for Nepalis during lock-down
Since the national lock-down in Nepal, which started on March 23, Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen, the social work organization of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery under Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s direction, along with our monks and a team of volunteers, has been actively working to provide help to the families of daily wage laborers who have lost their main source of income.
Shenpen has already provided relief hampers filled with essential items (lentils, rice, beaten rice, cooking oil, salt, basic spices, hand soap bars, and menstrual pads) to hundred families. We hope these basic food baskets might last 11 days for a family of 5.
We are delighted to announce that that we have already gathered enough donations to distribute another 100 relief hampers in the days to come.
Shenpen’s vision is for all the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal, especially the very young and very old, to be able to enjoy good health, a sound education, financial security and be able to meet their full human and spiritual potential. In these challenging times, your support in time, in money, and in spirit are highly appreciated. If you would like to contribute to this initiative you can make a donation here:
