In this time of global uncertainty, countless people are searching for relief from physical and mental distress. The teachings of the Buddha offer powerful methods to reduce suffering and guide us towards compassionate action.
At Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Nunnery, our monastics spend years practicing these teachings to develop minds that are calm, kind, and clear. They then share these profoundly beneficial methods in Nepal, online, and throughout the world.
The monastery is an active, dynamic place where contemplative practice blossoms into benevolent work. Compelled by the Buddha’s teachings to care sincerely for others, the monastery also supports social action in Nepal—from providing traditional and secular education to young children from rural villages, to offering food packages to subsistence workers impacted by the pandemic, to supporting women’s health and empowerment.
The Buddha’s teachings hold that it is only through genuine wisdom and compassion that we can protect ourselves, each other, and our world. We hope you enjoy the concert!
