Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s Annual Seminar, and Founding Ceremony at Castle Kremsegg – Austria
From July 13 to 21, 2026, you are warmly invited to gather at Schloss Kremsegg in Austria for a very special series of events with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche.
The program begins with the Kindful Wisdom Seminar, taking place at the castle from July 13 to 18, followed by the Kindful Wisdom Retreat from July 19 to 21 at Gomde.
An inspiring, profound and meaningful seminar with teachings on Buddhist philosophy, perspective and meditation.
Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche will teach on “Kindful Wisdom” and Phakchok Rinpoche will teach on “Awakening Dignity”.
At the heart of this gathering is July 18, the sacred day of Chokhor Düchen, one of the most important Buddhist holidays of the year- where we celebrate the Buddha´s first turning of the wheel of Dharma. On this auspicious day, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche will formally inaugurate the Kindful Wisdom activities at Schloss Kremsegg.
This ceremony marks the symbolic laying of the foundation stone for a far-reaching vision: the development of a Buddhist university, school, educational center, and contemplative place of learning at Schloss Kremsegg. This project will bring the ancient wisdom of Buddhism into meaningful dialogue with other religions, modern science, and the needs of our world today.
Rinpoche has repeatedly described this vision as one of his heart projects. His wish is that students and friends from near and far come together in Kremsmünster, Austria, on this special occasion — to participate in the teachings, offer their good wishes, and collectively gather the energy and inspiration needed for this extraordinary undertaking.
