Himalayan Sangha retreat 2017

“I would like to share some wonderful news with you. More than 300 Nepalese and Tibetan lay practitioners have gathered in our monastery for a month-long intensive retreat on the preliminary practices. They begin their practices at 5.30 in the morning and continue until 5.30 in the evening. They are led in practice by Lama Opak. The monastery is providing free breakfast, lunch and dinner for all the diligent participants. I would like to invite everybody to be part of this joyful event and share in the merit of their heartfelt practice.”

– Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche

The monastery is spending 3 dollars per person a day on meals costs, which comes to 900 dollars each day. We welcome you to became a part of this important practice by offering any amount you would like, for instance sponsoring one participant’s meals for the entire retreat for 90 dollars.
